I ordered a new motor with cam and a ribbon for our time clock. I received the parts on the third day after ordering and they appear to be what i need. However on inspection, I have discovered that there is no new allen screw included with the cam, which I think is important to replace and may be necessary. I have not installed the parts yet, but will try to make the old one work. Great suggestion, thank you, Mich! Joe.

We had purchased a Lathem biometric time clock about a year ago from a different company- spent 2 weeks trying to set it up, company exchanged it 3 times before we just asked for our money back. This clock took literally 15 mins to set up and the one issue we had, tech support answered our question immediately.
I'm extremely happy with our purchase, shipping was fast and the website was very easy to navigate. I pulled the instruction manual off of the website before we purchased it just to look it over first and check out all of the options and look over the setup. Great product, good company, we are extremely pleased.

Correct, this is a refurbished machine, which is exactly what it says on the website. There has been no misrepresentation, it says “Refurbished” right on the web page. Just pack it up and ship it back. We will either refund your money, or apply it toward a replacement. The new one, Acroprint 175, is on the same page - right next to the Refurbished one, for $120 more. You have 30 days to decide. JJW

i thought i ordered time source. i received time view. i did not get the right cord that hooks up to the time clock. the one i received was green and too small. i have been unable to conect to my computer and need the right cord. i dont know what the differance if any of the two differant time clocks. i am ok with this one if i can get the right cord to plug into the time clock and my computer Holly M.
No problem. Support called her right back, as soon as we got this response. Holly was replacing a 1990's Icon system. She had the the right parts, but was confused by the USB adapter that is now included. Lucky for her, as her new Dell PC did not come with a Serial connector. The free USB adapter solved the problem. TimeSourceLite was discontinued in 2006, and replaced with TimeVue. The examples on the website are from TimeVue, not TimeSource. It's the updated version. Her old TimeSource records were successfully imported and updated in to TimeVue and she is now a “happy camper“. Joe Wagner

Good point! Our support hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 6PM Eastern Standard Time. This is standard through out the industry. We are closed on Holidays and Weekends. We do this to keep our sanity, and to keep our employees. You called over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, we were not in.
That being said, you are welcome to call us any time. If we're not in, please leave your name and number. We stop in to the office some weekends, and have been know to return calls even when not officially “open.”

The product is nice. Sometimes it has a tough time reading an employees finger print. Paul, thanks for the feedback. The terminal also has a keypad for those people who cannot be read. This is a known and apparrently unsolvable issue with all fingerprint readers.

Product (Acroprint Secure Punchin) has bugs in network connections. Install required assistance. Programs now won't work from employee computer stations. Spent two hours on phone with product rep and still no answer from tech support. Not what I wanted for a program touted for its ease of use. Not pleased. Shipping and service to get software to us was fine. No problems there. But apparently we selected bad software. Hopefully, tech support will get us going so we can actually see what the program will do.

Only thing I don't like- at the end of the month it doesn't automatically change to next month. You have to do it manually. Didn;t know this and it caused quite a problem. We are not using this clock for a time clock for employees. We are using it for large volume customers who purchase Diesel fuel from out facility and our time and date has to be 100% accurate. Otherwise, clock is serving its purpose. Mechanical date time stampers cannot change the date by themselves; never could, never will. Solid brass wheels and steel gears allow for 1000's of stamps a day. They are used in court houses, traffic ticket desks, mail rooms, New York Stock Exchange, etc. You needed a rugged automatic stamper for documents, and that's what you now have. Just change the month - and the year. It is designed to last for 12 years of very hard use in rough conditions - such as your refinery.

The salesman said, and it is also listed on the website and invoice the product included a serial to USB adapter. there was no hardware included in the package. Is the adapter the driver only? Do I have to purchase the hardware separately?

Had looked several years ago for ribbon for an acroprint time clock. Never did find one, so we bought a new clock. Never really liked the new one, so the search for a new time clock began again. Ran across this website and saw that they could fix and had parts for Acroprint clocks. I called to confirm that the ribbbon was the right one for our old clock. Ordered it and had it within 3 days. Saved several hundred dollars and the service was great.

My daughter in Law picked this clock up at a garage sale for $30.00 and gave it to me. The keys (from yall) worked great. This has a # on the back: G47816. on the inside tag it has the No. 914696 and on paper tag made Aug 1985. It still has over 4 coils of paper around the inside. Keeps good time. The instruction sheet on the inside of leather is needing replaced as is one of the metal pieces (2 holes and a hump) that hold the carrying strap on. Would it be possible to get these parts and also if not too much trouble to find out the history of this clock. It may have been in Grayson County, Tx. old jail. Dave, I do not have such parts. I don't know where you'll find them - original parts. We can get you a new carrying case, but that would change the nature of the machine (it's a collector, not a worker, right?). Here's a thought: Find a shoe repair shop, or a Harley Davidson/biker leather shop. They have clips, etc. They'll fix it for you on the spot, hand the proprietor a $10 for the favor, pay no less.

I found a a old deputy who remembers this clock from the way the broken strap was wound up and the missing slide door for the big key at the different stations. Also this clock may have started its life at another bussiness which closed after 1985, and was given to the county.

The product is great but only one problem apparently the system can only be setup on certain computers. which it does not allow me to installed it on new computers and that makes Multi-User license useless. Martin.
Martin, you are using a mix of Windows Vista 32 and the Windows Vista 64 desktops. Microsoft suprised everyone by rushing out an incomplete OS, Vista 64. Icon is scrambling like everyone else to write special code. The Vista 64 version is expected to be complete by June. Please go to www.icontime.com/support on June 1 to get the update. One issue: When researching machines I questioned if the machine can be set up to print Saturday (1st day of our week) on the TOP of the card and was told it could be programed for that. Can't find in manual. Can you help?
You should have just called us, or called Pyramid on any of the toll free numbers. Yes it can, yes it does. Examples of this are on the outside of the box, and also posted on the factory brochure on the web page that you read when you were researching this. Joe They are hooked up and working, thanks for your help, for future reference,there was a phone jack in the time clock, we plugged that in, and the cordthat cord that came with it plugged into our jack at the other end, and then plugged into the computer. According to UPS records as Jan 9th, 2009: “Driver needs security access ... in order to enter building”(www.ups.com) I am not sure what the security message is all about. All but programing the line stamping, this product was very easy set up. And with the excellent phone techs you have we where able to get it done in a snap, Our company wont start using this product until Dec 1st, but it all looks good.

I am still waiting on my time clock. I can't seem to get any information as to when or how it shipped to us. We paid up front so we are out the money and have no product.
Helen: Your unit had to be programmed to your specifications. Once it was done, we shipped it. You should had received 2 emails by UPS and 1 from us with your tracking #.

My only problem was that I purchaced a software upgrade & had to make several phone calls to actually receive an activation code from the manufacturer. The product, shipping, and service were all fine.

Havn't hooked it up yet, waiting for ITC to install new computer Jack. So we don't kow how well the product works, yet. Also, we keep trying to call for customer service and we can never get through. So, the free month of tech support for free isn't helping us yet. We are trying to contact you by email, still waiting for a response.

We are having trouble getting it installed, so it is not working yet. We have a computer tech here right now. I am disappointed that it is not more user friendly on installation. Our admin. assist. e-mailed your tech support and the reply was not helpful. So far, we are pretty disappointed with the product.
