The only issue with this product is it doesn't have a feature to add the times that are on the card for hours. 04/18/2011 After wasting my time and money on a highly advertised biometric time clock my second attempt at a time clock system for my company led me to Florida Time Clock. Knowing what I do now, I wish that I would have picked up the phone and asked for assistance prior to making a blind purchase. Joe at Florida Time Clock was immediately able to qualify my companies unique time clock needs (5 user software interface in my office, 50+ employees punching in, 2 time clocks total - 1 local & 1 remote) and referred me to the Icon PIN network timevue system. So far this system has worked flawlessly in both local & remote locations and the timevue software was straight forward and easy for my H.R. Manager to start using with minimal training. The software installation & configuration works well but does require what I would consider to be advanced knowledge of LAN / WAN. The instructions provided are detailed, but network hardware settings & operating systems vary greatly from company to company. If you do not have IT personnel on staff I would recommend hiring a company locally to correctly perform the software configuration. The product works well for clocking in and out. That's really all I have it set up to do. I feel like support doesn't really want to help; they just refer to the manual. I work better having a human talk me through things. So I feel like the product doesn't do much good for what I have it set up for but, when I talk to support I get blown off.

The only slight problem was when i ordered on line. had to do it 3 or 4 times before item would show up in my cart. after that product was here in a very timely fashion. and worked fine. The product is performing as expected except for the facial recognition. I have registered two administrators and now when they try to log onto the time clock the facial recognition first gives an error that it does not recognize the person. When you back off and then try again it says there is no authority. Usually, on the third try the clock will recognize the person but sometimes it takes multiple approaches before the clock recognizes the face. This could create problems if there are multiple people trying to clock in and it takes 2 - 3 minutes for the clock to recognize them. I also tried to use a thumb drive (FAT format) and the clock did not recognize it. When installing the clock and registering the administrators there are a couple of questions presented that are not covered in the instructions: e.g. "Open door authority". Dear Robin: Thanks for your notes on this new product. We have forwarded it to Lathem, the manufacturer.

The product appears to be good. It took me a little time to get the weather tight box put together and get it set up, so I wanted to wait until it was in use before sending feedback. The first few days of using the clock have gone well. The weather tight box took a considerable amount of time to produce. If its something that others do, it might be worth your consideration to supply (sell) such a product. Shipping was timely & product arrived in good shape. Service was very good. (Joe is a little nerdy and talks too much, but so am I). Website was user friendly - even more so with the easy access to a knowledgable human on the phone to help steer me in the right direction. The only "I wish" that I'm aware of at the moment is that it appears that there was an option to reverse the orientation of the print onto the time cards - the current print reads upside down. It would have been nice to have been made aware of this so that totaling the time cards would be just a tiny bit easier. In another month or two of use, I would probably rate the product and services as excellent - Only good now because I haven't had much time in use to have much of a review. And not sure how annoying the upside down print is going to be. I feel like I chose the appropriate equipment, and the appropriate company to supply it.

We are unable to export time information to our quickbooks, and if we are sending, we don't know where it is going. Last week, 7/6 - 7/12, the clock did not record in or outs. Any idea what may have caused this?
I may. Larry, we may be able to help: Reboot your computer - heck, it can't hurt. Check the baud rate of the polling module - it's in the owners manual on page 54 (attached), lower it. Poll the clock again (update the punches). If that doesn't do it, then call Acroprint for help. If the terminal is defective, they will replace it under warranty. If it is a technical support/software issue, then that will be billable. Registry repair tools, antivirus updates, Windows OS updates, etc. can all affect Windows programs. Acroprint: 1 800 334 7190

Hi Joe I hope you remember me. I am the Canadian that bought three clocks from you late last year. They have truly been great and relatively trouble free. I just followed YOUR instructions…Timevues were not very clear.
I have one hopefully minor issue with one of the clocks though that started last week. Some of the staff cant seem to punch in first thing in the morning. That is, when they arrive and try to scan it tells them either that their id is invalid or they simply cant scan in. It’s the office staff as opposed to plant so I doubt its having stuff on their hands. It started with one or two daily, but over the past few days its almost all of them.Then later in the morning, they all seem to be able to scan in like normal. I use this same clock myself and have never had an issue. No problem punching out.

I ordered a new motor with cam and a ribbon for our time clock. I received the parts on the third day after ordering and they appear to be what i need. However on inspection, I have discovered that there is no new allen screw included with the cam, which I think is important to replace and may be necessary. We had purchased a Lathem biometric time clock about a year ago from a different company- spent 2 weeks trying to set it up, company exchanged it 3 times before we just asked for our money back. This clock took literally 15 mins to set up and the one issue we had, tech support answered our question immediately.

Correct, this is a refurbished machine, which is exactly what it says on the website. There has been no misrepresentation, it says “Refurbished” right on the web page. Just pack it up and ship it back. We will either refund your money, or apply it toward a replacement. The new one, Acroprint 175, is on the same page - right next to the Refurbished one, for $120 more. You have 30 days to decide. JJW

We received our timeclock in a timely fashion, which was great since ours was broken. We have Windows 7 and I had difficulty with the installation & driver, but when I called your customer service the next morning --she helped me fix it immediately. It is now up & running and so far I think the program will save me lots of time on pay day ! thank you

I ordered a motor for our time clock. The clock was just over a year old when the motor decided to whine so loudly I thought it was going to catch on fire - no warranty of course and I didn't have time for locals to order the part - had to get a new clock. - User friendly - software need break punches to be separate from in & out punches. - need to calculate manually if employee took more time then allowed for break. i thought i ordered time source. i received time view. i did not get the right cord that hooks up to the time clock. the one i received was green and too small. i have been unable to conect to my computer and need the right cord. i dont know what the differance if any of the two differant time clocks. i am ok with this one if i can get the right cord to plug into the time clock and my computer Holly M.
No problem. Support called her right back, as soon as we got this response. Holly was replacing a 1990's Icon system. She had the the right parts, but was confused by the USB adapter that is now included. Lucky for her, as her new Dell PC did not come with a Serial connector. The free USB adapter solved the problem. TimeSourceLite was discontinued in 2006, and replaced with TimeVue. The examples on the website are from TimeVue, not TimeSource. It's the updated version. Her old TimeSource records were successfully imported and updated in to TimeVue and she is now a “happy camper“. Joe Wagner

Good point! Our support hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 6PM Eastern Standard Time. This is standard through out the industry. We are closed on Holidays and Weekends. We do this to keep our sanity, and to keep our employees. You called over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, we were not in.
That being said, you are welcome to call us any time. If we're not in, please leave your name and number. We stop in to the office some weekends, and have been know to return calls even when not officially “open.”

The product is nice. Sometimes it has a tough time reading an employees finger print. Paul, thanks for the feedback. The terminal also has a keypad for those people who cannot be read. This is a known and apparrently unsolvable issue with all fingerprint readers.

I was charged on my credit card and of course the time clock was not sent because I cancelled it---I need it off my credit card. Mr. Armstrong per your prior request, we were waiting for Mrs. Jones to contact us and order the correct time clock. Applying those charges to that order. Now per your current comment, we'll immediately refund them.
