How To Poll and Update an Acroprint time clock system
Polling reads punches from the terminal into the computer.
Updating pushes current employee status back to the terminal. Both processes briefly block punching, so schedules must be set carefully.

Reason |
| Use an interval that divides evenly into 24 |
Prevents the run time from shifting daily |
| Do not poll/update more than necessary |
Employees cannot punch during processing |
| Manual poll before running reports |
Ensures totals are current |
On most current releases, the default polling cycle is once per hour.
If Terminal Totals Are Not Up to Date
Increase the Update frequency slightly to push employee status to the terminal more often, while keeping the punch-blocking limitation in mind.
