Compumatic XL1000e Self-Totaling Time Clock with Two Work Shift Bells

Description

The Compumatic XL1000e time clock with bells is a self-totaling electronic employee time clock designed to record employee punches and automatically ring bells for shift changes, breaks, and lunch periods. Employees punch using standard time cards, and the clock calculates worked hours directly on the card while also controlling scheduled bell signaling through the included signal module. This configuration combines payroll time tracking and work shift control in a single stand-alone system.

The XL1000e supports both self-totaling and non-totaling operation. In totaling mode, the clock calculates regular hours directly on the time card, reducing payroll calculation time. In non-totaling mode, it operates as a standard punch clock recording IN and OUT times only. The installed signal module activates two loud 120V warehouse bells at programmed times, allowing audible shift control without a separate bell timer. Ring duration and scheduling are set through the clock’s internal programming.

This system is commonly installed in manufacturing shops, warehouses, and maintenance departments where employees must follow structured start, break, and lunch schedules. Using a self-totaling clock with integrated bell control reduces equipment count and keeps employee punches and shift signals synchronized. Additional bells can be added later if coverage needs increase, while maintaining one timing source for both attendance and signaling.
