Custom Isolated Synchronized Power Supply for Bell & Buzzer Systems
Electronically isolates and protects time clock circuitry while powering 110V synchronized bells and buzzers.
Description
This custom-built isolated synchronized power supply is designed for ETC time clock systems that control bells and buzzers but require electrical protection between the low-voltage clock electronics and higher-voltage signaling devices. It allows existing or newly supplied bells and buzzers to operate reliably without risking damage to the clock’s internal circuit board.
EmployeeTimeClocks.com developed this solution to solve a recurring real-world problem: time clock outputs were never intended to directly power higher-load signaling devices. Without isolation, clock circuit boards can be damaged by inductive loads, voltage feedback, or wiring faults. This system fully isolates the clock while maintaining precise synchronized signaling.
Each unit is custom built per order. Time clock manufacturers use different control voltages and signal types, and there is no universal solution. Some systems require 12VDC, others 18VAC, 30VDC, 48VDC, and additional variations. The power supply is engineered specifically to match the clock’s signaling requirements.
Compatibility, Usage & Key Features
- Custom built for each time clock manufacturer and model
- Electronically isolates the time clock from bells and buzzers
- Protects low-voltage clock circuit boards from electrical damage
- Supports multiple input signal types (DC and AC, voltage varies by clock)
- Provides synchronized 110VAC output for bells and buzzers
- All wiring is clearly labeled before shipment
- Can be shipped with a clock system or separately
Power Output & Capacity
- 110VAC output for bells and buzzers
- Maximum output limited to 10 amps
- Capacity exceeds the requirements of nearly all bell installations
- Actual load is further limited by building electrical supply
In practical installations, power availability is not a limiting factor. The system is designed to operate well within safe electrical margins while maintaining reliable synchronized operation.

FAQ
Why is isolation necessary?
Isolation prevents voltage feedback and load-induced damage to sensitive time clock circuit boards.
Is this a stock item?
No. Each unit is custom built to match the specific clock manufacturer and signaling requirements.
Can it run my existing bells?
Yes. The system is designed to safely operate existing 110V bells or new bells supplied by ETC.
Who provides technical support?
Manufacturer technical support is U.S.-based. ETC provides equipment selection and system compatibility guidance.
