Detex ProxiPen III Reader (WWP3-TR)
Rugged, waterproof RFID guard tour reader designed to capture checkpoint data without physical contact.
Description
This page answers a common buyer question: what reader is used to collect checkpoint data in a Detex ProxiPen guard tour system? The Detex ProxiPen III Reader (Model WWP3-TR) is a reader-only component used in Detex RFID guard tour systems. It automatically senses and reads RFID checkpoint tags whenever they come within range—no physical contact required.
The ProxiPen III is engineered for demanding patrol environments where reliability matters. It is fully waterproof and weatherproof and is designed to continue working even under water. This non-contact reading method helps prevent guards from striking or damaging expensive equipment while still ensuring accurate tour verification.
Stored data is preserved in non-volatile memory, protecting collected patrol information even if the battery is removed or depleted. Power is supplied by a user-replaceable standard AA battery, allowing fast field replacement without special tools.
Employee Time Clocks stocks Detex supplies for all Detex guard tour machines, supporting facilities that rely on physical patrol verification for security, compliance, and accountability.
